The purpose of this article was for the author to address the problem of people in todays society not being able to understand texts through the Internet properly. The author uses a logical approach to explain the importance of digital reading comprehension. The audience could be anyone, but this article is specifically towards teachers. The author suggests that teachers need to help students understand this new use of technology because it is the future of literacy.
